Background and objectives: One of the most important social issues of any society, which becomes especially important when natural and human hazards occur, is the social responsibility of the members of that society. The purpose of the current research is to explain the relationship between the feeling of insecurity and social responsibility after the end of the coronavirus pandemic crisis.
Methodology: This research was conducted using a quantitative method and through a survey. The sample size was determined based on Cochran's formula and 384 residents of Tabriz citizens between 18 and 70 years of age were interviewed in person through multi-stage cluster probability sampling with a questionnaire.
Findings: The research findings show that the average amount of social responsibility and feeling of insecurity is lower than the average possible value in the measurement scale of these variables, but the existence of a significant and inverse relationship between the feeling of insecurity and social responsibility can be seen. Also, the obtained results show that people's social responsibility is different according to their gender, education, and occupation, but the age of the respondents has no relationship with their social responsibility.
Results: Social cohesion and belonging in the society can be damaged under the influence of various factors and affect social actions. The feeling of insecurity is one of the social factors that can reduce social values such as the sense of belonging and social responsibility. The results of the present study show that the corona epidemic has been a factor in reducing the social responsibility of people by strengthening the isolationist behaviors caused by the disconnection of social relations and the avoidance of people by creating a sense of insecurity in social interactions.
